High School
Ministry to youth is an important part of our faith community. Our Youth Ministry (Catholic Youth Oshkosh) leads us to a high level of collaboration with the Catholic schools, refocuses our teens on the Eucharist and solid catechesis, and lays the foundation for many solid, Christian mentoring relationships between adult and teen parishioners.

Our high school faith formation and youth ministry plan aims to touch both the hearts and heads of our high school students and will include opportunities for faith formation, education, service and justice, prayer and worship, and community-building. Some of the major components of our high school ministry program include:

  • Sunday evening Faith Night for high school faith formation at Lourdes High School,
  • Sunday evening Mass open to parishioners of all ages, but with an atmosphere specifically tailored to the needs of youth,
  • Connection with the greater parish community during morning masses one Sunday each month.
  • Evangelization and outreach through our Thursday night open gym open to high school teens of all faith backgrounds,
  • Confirmation sacramental preparation during Junior year,
  • An emphasis on stewardship through service opportunities in both the community and the parish,
  • Fun activities and day trips throughout the year including Six Flags, Noah's Ark, Chicago and Milwaukee,
  • Retreat opportunities open to all high school teens encouraging them to grow in their relationship with Christ, to build community with their peers, and develop meaningful relationships with others.
  • And much, much more!

February 12 - Law and Prophets

The goal of this night is to show how the Law of Moses (Ten Commandments) was the cornerstone to the messages of the Old Testament prophets, the "mouthpieces" of God. The night will also help the teens understand that the coming of the Messiah was prophesized more than 700 years before His birth. Finally, the teens will be challenged to invite Christ to be the central part of their own lives, especially through devotion to the Eucharist.
