CYO Winter Retreat PDF Print E-mail

This past weekend, 20 high school teens and volunteer youth ministers traveled to the beautiful (but cold!) Green Lake Conference Center for our Winter Retreat.  We had an incredibly grace-filled and engaging weekend of prayer, music, fellowship, and much laughter.

The theme for our retreat was "In the Flesh" and was based upon Christ's desire for us to become more like Him and share His love with all.

Our teenagers were empowered to make personal commitments to change the way they are living and to instead live for Christ. They were able to recognize the sin in their lives  and make a commitment to change their lives.  These teens have allowed Christ to become so present in their lives that when they left our retreat as living witnesses to the world - they are Christ “In the Flesh” to those they encounter at home, in school, and everywhere they go.

Check out our retreat video for a taste of our CYO Winter Retreat 2010!

Who Are The Youth Ministers? PDF Print E-mail

Our volunteer youth ministers are one of the most vital parts of our ministry.  First and foremost, they are role  models to the teens.  They know that how they live and act as adult Catholics makes a strong impression on teens, and they are committed to passing on the faith and modeling what it means to be in relationship with Christ.  With that guiding principle in mind, there are three foundational behaviors a youth minister.
