Stewardship is a way of life that embraces three concepts: faith-filled prayer, compassionate service, and generous sharing of material and financial resources.

The committee has spent time reading, reviewing and discussing articles related to stewardship for their education and self-enrichment.  A major portion of the committee's time during 2008-2009 was devoted to Strategic Planning whereby they established the following three goals which they will be working on during 2009-2010:

  • Encourage middle and high school students to live a stewardship way of life
  • Increase participation in auto-transfer and on-line bill pay
  • Feed the soul, mind and body to strengthen spirituality and community
Also, each year the committee coordinates sign-up for Salvation Army bell ringing for three days in December, and participates in Focus Weekend in April to recruit new committee members.  They also write short articles on Stewardship for the Sunday Bulletin.
